One of the latest contests organized by Octa Markets Incorporated to promote trading is the Southampton Supreme Game. It is a demo contest so users require demo accounts to participate in this contest. Traders can register even 10 minutes before the game begins. As soon as they register they are assigned to a team. Registered users are notified of the beginning of the game before it starts. This contest lasts for just 90 minutes during which all traders need to try and double their equity. When traders achieve a goal, the score is added to the points of one’s team.
Rules

This contest takes place every Monday and begins at 2:00 p.m. according to the server’s time. During the single round of 1 hour 30 minutes, contestants have to trade to win the contest. Some of the rules are mentioned below:
· Individuals above the age of 18 are only allowed to participate.
· For every round of the contest that a user wishes to participate in, he/she has to create a new demo account. During creation of the account, a contestant needs to provide real information so that his/her account is not disqualified.
· For one round a contestant should participate using only one account, since using multiple accounts can be considered as an attempt to manipulate the game.
· The conditions for the trading account are:
o Account type – OctaFX ECN type account
o Trading tools – similar to those available with OctaFX ECN Account
o Initial balance – An initial balance of $10000 is provided with the demo account.
o Leverage – 1:1000
o Contestants are allowed to use all techniques or EAs.
o Minimum volume is 0.1 lot and maximum value is not fixed.
· The winning team is awarded $300 which is divided as $150 to the first, $100 to the second and $50 to the third place.
· The other team is allotted an amount of $150, where the first gets $75, second $50 and third $25.
How it works
Listed below are the steps that are followed during this contest:
1. After a demo account is created and registered for the contest, the account is added to the list of participants.
2. Each participant gets assigned to one of the two teams before the game begins, and a notification is sent to the trading terminal inbox.
3. The starting balance for each contestant is $10000.
4. If the equity doubles a contestant scores a goal. The first goal is achieved at $20000, the next at $40000 and so on.
5. The latest events are updated through the live contest feed.
6. After the match is over, goals are calculated and top three players from each team are awarded.
7. All contestants of the winning team who scored goals are awarded $10, which can be transferred to their original account and withdrawn.
8. Contestants can track their progress during the game by logging in to the contest page.
